How are faith and patience connected in Baba's teachings?

According to the teachings in Chapter 19, faith and patience are inextricably linked. Sai Baba describes "Faith and Patience are like two sisters, dear as life to each other." This illustrates their deep, interdependent relationship. He explains that a Guru, even a very powerful one, expects two main things from a disciple: "strong faith at the Guru’s feet and the strength of courage which is patience." Baba's own offering to his Guru consisted of these two "paise," demonstrating that they must be given together to please the Guru and progress spiritually.
