From the perspective of Alli Mohammed in Chapter 41, how did he come to possess the Sai portrait before giving it to the author?

📖 Chapter 41

Chapter 41 provides the story directly from Alli Mohammed. He explains that one day while wandering the streets in Mumbai, he saw a merchant selling various beautiful pictures of saints and holy men. As he looked through them, one particular portrait of Sai Baba, whom he already worshipped and loved in his heart, appealed to him more than all the others. As recounted in Chapter 41, he felt an eagerness to have it, paid the price in cash, and brought the portrait home. He hung it on his wall and would joyfully take its darshan daily, having great love for Baba, for three months before the events of the Holi festival unfolded.
