From Sai Baba's perspective, how did he fulfill his promise to Dev, and what was his reaction to Dev's doubt?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 40

From his own perspective, Sai Baba meticulously fulfilled his promise to attend Dev's Udyapan. He explicitly stated to Jog, 'for the sake of My word, I would die; but the words from My mouth shall never be otherwise.' Chapter 40 explains that Baba manifested as a Sanyasi and, just as he said he would, brought two companions with him for the meal. He reacted to Dev's doubt with a sense of surprise, asking Jog to tell Dev, 'You did not recognize Me! Why then did you call Me?' This shows that Baba saw the failure in perception as being on Dev's side, while he had perfectly honored his divine commitment.
