From Baba's perspective, what is the connection between the mind, duality, and the cycle of birth and death?

As explained in Chapter 14, Baba's teachings draw a direct link between the mind's perception of duality and the relentless cycle of birth and death. When the mind holds onto manifoldness, operating under the belief that "I am different, and people are different," it becomes trapped in duality. This state is described as pure ignorance, clouded by errors and delusion. It is this attachment to separateness that perpetuates the cycle. The path to liberation, therefore, involves purifying the mind through the Guru's teachings to overcome this sense of difference and realize the unbroken oneness that pervades all existence.
