Chapter 43 provides a powerful analogy for understanding a saint's passing. It is likened to a solar eclipse, which is described as merely a 'defect of vision' for the observer; the sun itself remains untouched. Similarly, the death of a saint is an illusion from a higher perspective. The body is just an adjunct, and saints become manifest for the salvation of their devotees. Their worldly life may end, but their spiritual attainment remains, and they continue their 'spontaneous play of Yoga' for the sake of their followers, perhaps by wandering in an invisible form. The physical event is not a true end.
From a devotee's perspective, how should one understand the physical passing of a great saint like Sai Baba?
