Explain the significance of Sai Baba's final instruction, 'Place me in the mansion.'

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

The significance of Sai Baba's final instruction, "Place me in the mansion," is immense as it directly established the building's ultimate, holy purpose. As Chapter 39 explains, the devotees, especially Bapusaheb Buti, were in distress about the future of the nearly completed mansion as Baba's end drew near. These last words, coming from Baba's own mouth, eliminated all doubt and anxiety. They were interpreted as a divine command that transformed the building from a temple for a Murlidhar idol into the final resting place for Sai's own holy body. This event is described as the realization of the mansion's "great fortune," making it the sacred Samadhi Mandir.
