Explain the distinction Chapter 50 makes between a worldly father and a Sadguru.

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 draws a profound distinction between a worldly father and a Sadguru, presenting the Sadguru as an "extraordinary progenitor." A worldly father's role is to give physical birth through the womb. In contrast, the Sadguru provides a spiritual rebirth to the disciple. As explained in Chapter 50, the Sadguru accomplishes this miracle "without spending a drop of seed, without the lower birth canal," by granting full spiritual initiation, or 'Anugraha.' This spiritual birth is what allows a disciple to transcend the cycle of birth and death. The chapter thus elevates the Sadguru as the true father who can save one from this endless cycle, a feat beyond the scope of the worldly progenitor.
