Despite being forbidden from going to the Masjid and feeling imprisoned, Amir Shakkar's location in the Chavadi ironically provided him with frequent and effortless opportunities to see Sai Baba. Chapter 22 details how this happened through Baba's daily routines. Every morning, Baba's path for alms took him right by the Chavadi, allowing Amir to have His vision as He went and returned. Similarly, every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi. Furthermore, on every alternate day when Baba stayed overnight in the Chavadi, a simple plank door was all that separated them, enabling them to talk privately after other devotees left for their homes.
