Although Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid, his confinement in the Chavadi ironically provided him with frequent and easy access to Sai Baba's darshan. According to Chapter 22, Baba's daily routine took him directly past the Chavadi. In the morning, Baba would pass by on his way for alms, allowing Amir to see him coming and going without leaving his spot. Similarly, every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi. Furthermore, on the alternate nights when Baba slept in the Chavadi, they were separated by only a plank door and would talk with calm minds after the other devotees had left.
Even though Amir was basically imprisoned in the Chavadi, how did he still get to see Sai Baba regularly?
