Although Baba forbade Amir Shakkar from visiting the Masjid for a vision, his assigned residence in the Chavadi paradoxically provided him with automatic and effortless sightings of Baba. Chapter 22 describes how this happened in several ways. Baba's daily path for morning alms went right by the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see Him coming and going. Every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi to salute the directions. Furthermore, on the alternate days when Baba stayed in the Chavadi, there was only a nominal curtain or a plank door between them, allowing them to talk after the devotees left.
Even though Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid, how did his stay in the Chavadi ironically give him more opportunities to see Baba?
