The small bundle that Kashiram fiercely protected from the robbers contained powdered sugar. According to Chapter 0, this bundle was not filled with treasure as the thieves suspected, but it was incredibly dear to Kashiram for a spiritual reason. He was following the advice of a different saint, named Janakidas Baba, who had instructed him to feed sugar to ants. Kashiram valued this practice so highly that he was willing to risk his life to protect the sugar, deciding he would not let the bundle go, whatever the consequences. This led him to fight back against the thieves.
During the encounter with robbers, Kashiram protected a small bundle at all costs. What was in it and why was it so important to him?
