Did Sai Baba give money to everyone who asked? Explain his approach to charity based on Chapter 29.

📖 Chapter 29

According to Chapter 29 of the Sai Satcharitra, Sai Baba's charity was not predictable or given to all who asked. While it was true that he distributed money, the text explicitly states that "he did not give to everyone - no one knew his mind." His manner was not fixed; sometimes he would give generously, and other times he would send people back empty-handed. The chapter suggests that receiving a blessing from Baba, including money, depended on when a person's "auspicious time had arrived." It was considered a great fortune, like obtaining a "shell of fortune," to receive something from the saint's hand.
