Sai Baba taught that with true faith, the sanctity of all holy places could be experienced in Shirdi itself, making long journeys unnecessary for a sincere devotee. Chapter 4 provides a powerful example when Das Ganu wished to go to Prayag for a holy bath. Baba told him, "No need to go so far. This itself is our Prayag; keep firm faith in your mind." To prove his point, a miracle occurred where water, representing the sacred Ganga and Yamuna rivers, began to flow from Baba's toes. This demonstrated that the merit of a pilgrimage could be obtained directly at the feet of the Guru. Baba also told Das Ganu that Shirdi itself was like Pandhari or Dwarka, emphasizing that intense love for God would make Him appear right where the devotee is.
Did Sai Baba ever discourage his followers from going on pilgrimages to holy places?
