Did Balaji Patil Nevasakar's son abandon the family tradition of offering the entire grain harvest to Sai Baba, indicating a decline in their family's devotion?

📖 Chapter 35

The text from chapter 35 indicates a modification of the tradition, but not a complete abandonment or a decline in devotion. Balaji Patil Nevasakar had an extraordinary practice of bringing his entire harvest to the mosque and accepting whatever portion Baba returned to him. After his passing, the tradition was indeed carried on by his son. The scripture states, "Even now his loving son partially continues this vow. He too continuously sends grain." This grain was significant, as the sorghum (Jowar) from this offering was used to make the bread that Maharaj ate daily until his Mahasamadhi. So, while the son's practice is described as a 'partial' continuation, chapter 35 confirms he did not abandon the vow but continued to supply grain, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to serving Baba.
