Did Amir Shakkar follow Baba's instructions perfectly? What happened when his faith wavered?

Amir Shakkar demonstrated great faith by initially agreeing to stay in the miserable Chavadi for nine months, accepting Baba's word as his medicine for rheumatism. As described in Chapter 22, he endured contrary external conditions because of his internal faith. However, his resolve eventually wavered. After nine months, he grew tired of the confinement, which he began to see as a prison. Desiring freedom, he made the decision to leave without seeking Baba's permission. He abandoned his post at the Chavadi and went to Kopergaon, where he stayed in a Dharmashala.
