Despite the terrible physical conditions of the Chavadi, what spiritual benefits did Amir Shakkar receive from staying there as per Baba's orders?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 22

Although the Chavadi was a place of immense physical hardship, Amir Shakkar's obedience to Sai Baba's command brought him significant spiritual benefits. Chapter 22 highlights that the "company of Sai was the Great Prasad." His assigned spot in the Chavadi was such that he received Baba's vision (darshan) automatically and without effort, every morning and evening as Baba passed by. Furthermore, on the nights Baba stayed in the Chavadi, Amir enjoyed close companionship with Him, separated only by a plank door. They would talk with calm minds after the other devotees left. This intimate access to Sai was a rare benefit that, as the text notes, is not enjoyed without great fortune.
