Despite the miserable conditions of the Chavadi, how did Amir Shakkar benefit from staying there as Sai Baba instructed?

📖 Chapter 22

Although the Chavadi was an extremely uncomfortable and dilapidated building, Amir Shakkar's obedience to Sai Baba's command brought him great spiritual benefits. Chapter 22 explains that the company of Sai was the 'Great Prasad.' By staying in the Chavadi, he received Baba's vision automatically and without effort. He saw Baba every morning during the alms round and every evening when Baba would salute the directions in front of the Chavadi. Furthermore, on the nights Baba slept at the Chavadi, Amir had the privilege of speaking with Baba privately after the other devotees had left.
