Although Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid, his location in the Chavadi paradoxically provided him with frequent and easy opportunities for Sai Baba's vision. Chapter 22 explains that this happened automatically and without effort. Baba's daily path for alms in the morning took him right by the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see him both going and coming. Every evening, Baba would also come in front of the Chavadi. Furthermore, on the alternate nights Baba stayed there, only a nominal curtain and a plank door separated them, allowing them to talk with calm minds after other devotees had left.
Despite being confined to the Chavadi for nine months, how did Amir Shakkar still manage to receive Sai Baba's darshan?
