Describe the two 'paise' that Sai Baba's Guru asked for and explain their symbolic meaning.

📖 Chapter 19

As detailed in Chapter 19, Sai Baba recounts how his Guru asked him for two paise. This was not a request for worldly money, as the Guru was one whose desires were already fulfilled (Purnakam). Instead, the two paise represented the virtues of Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi). Baba explains, "Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi)—these were the two paise, nothing else; I gave them to him then and there, and thus my Guru-Mother was pleased with me." This act was a symbolic exchange representing the disciple's offering of essential spiritual qualities.
