The preface notes that while many biographies exist, there is a scarcity of ancient, detailed, and comprehensive works in Maharashtra suitable for Parayans. It then highlights two exceptional examples. The first is the sweet and graceful biography by Shri Saraswati Gangadhar about Shri Samarth Sadguru Narsimha Saraswati Maharaj, which is famously known as the Brihat or Thorale Guru Charitra. The second, as mentioned in Chapter 0, is the recent and inspirational biography of Shri Sai Baba Maharaj, titled Shri Sai Satcharita. This work was written by the devotee Shri Govind Raghunath, also known as Annasaheb Dabholkar, and is presented as one of only two such detailed works found.
