📖 Chapter 34

Chapter 34 recounts the story of a doctor from Malegaon whose young nephew suffered from a terrible ailment known as a bone-cyst, or Hadyavarn. Despite the uncle being a degree-holding physician and consulting with other expert doctors and surgeons, the disease proved incurable. All native, foreign, and even surgical treatments failed, leaving the family distressed and helpless as the boy suffered immense pain. When all medical remedies were exhausted and even prayers to other deities brought no relief, the family heard about the great saint Sai Maharaj of Shirdi. Believing he could heal diseases with his sight and that his Udi could cure even incurable ailments, they decided to travel to Shirdi as a last resort, eager for Sai's darshan.
