Kakasaheb Dixit's journey to Shirdi was marked by a remarkable chain of events detailed in Chapter 51. First, Nanasaheb Panshe and Appasahib Gadre happened to see Madhavrao Deshpande, a priest from Shirdi, and directed him to Dixit, whose trip was thus arranged. Then, Dixit was shown a portrait of Sai Baba that was coincidentally at Mirikar's house for repairs, which felt like Baba himself had come to escort him. When Dixit and Madhavrao arrived at the station, their train was completely full, but the train guard turned out to be an acquaintance of Dixit and arranged for them to sit in first class.
