Describe the sequence of events in 1910 that led to Laxmichand's intense desire to travel to Shirdi.

📖 Chapter 28

The compelling sequence of events that ignited Laxmichand's eagerness for a Shirdi pilgrimage is detailed in Chapter 28. First, about one or two months before the Navaratri of 1910, he had a vivid dream of a bearded sadhu surrounded by a crowd. Following this, he attended a kirtan performance by Dasganu. There, he saw a picture of Sai Baba that Dasganu had set up. Laxmichand was struck by the perfect resemblance between the man in the picture and the sadhu from his dream—the same beard, age, and features. This divine coincidence, as the chapter explains, caused his inner being to become attached, filling him with an overwhelming eagerness to place his head at the saint's feet in person.
