According to Chapter 18, Sai Baba would assign the reading of sacred texts to his devotees for their spiritual welfare and salvation. For instance, he ordered a devoted disciple named Dixit to read the Uddhava Gita, a divinely inspired book, for the salvation of souls. He also gave a specific assignment to Sakharam Hari Jog to conduct daily readings of scriptures like the Jnaneshwari and the Nath Bhagawat in Sathe’s Wada. Baba showed great concern for this, often sending devotees who came to visit him at the Masjid to go to the Wada and listen to these readings. This was one of Baba's methods for bestowing grace and instructing his followers, using his power to get the work done through them.
