The Ram Navami festival in Shirdi featured a significant procession with two large new flags. As detailed in Chapter 25, this annual tradition involved one flag from the Nimonkars and a second one from the devotee Damu Anna. The procession would commence from the house of Kondaji Sutara, the carpenter. From there, the flags were carried through the village accompanied by the sound of musical instruments. The procession would conclude at the mosque, where the long banners were tied to the two ends of the Masjid, marking a key event of the festival that was well known to the residents of Shirdi.
