Describe the paradox of Sai Baba's dwelling. Why was it so unusual for him to live in a mosque, considering the activities that took place there?

📖 Chapter 7

Sai Baba's choice to live in a mosque was a central paradox of his life because the activities he permitted within it were often associated with Hindu worship. Chapter 7 highlights this contradiction by asking how he could be a Muslim given the circumstances. In the mosque where he lived, a sacred fire (Dhuni) burned day and night. The space was filled with the sounds of bells ringing and conches blowing, and there was constant Bhajan. Furthermore, rituals like offerings to fire, the ritual washing of feet, and the distribution of food took place there. These practices made his residence in a mosque a powerful statement of his transcendence beyond religious norms.
