Describe the medical case of the doctor's nephew from Malegaon and explain why his family ultimately sought Sai Baba's help.

📖 Chapter 34

In Chapter 34, we learn about a doctor from Malegaon whose young nephew was afflicted with a severe ailment identified as a bone-cyst, or Hadyavarn. This condition caused the boy immense pain. Despite his uncle being a degree-holding physician and consulting with other expert doctors and surgeons, the disease remained incurable. The chapter mentions that they tried all sorts of native and foreign treatments, and even surgery, but all efforts were exhausted without any success. Having reached the absolute limits of medical science and even finding no help from worshiping deities, the family heard about the great saint Sai Baba of Shirdi. They were told his Udi could cure incurable ailments, which prompted them to visit Shirdi as a final resort.
