Describe the internal conflict the Tarkhad son experienced when asked to go to Shirdi and explain how it was resolved.

📖 Chapter 9

The Tarkhad son's internal conflict is a key part of the story from Chapter 9. His mother wished to go to Shirdi, and his father wanted him to accompany her, but the son was deeply worried about his daily worship of Sai's photograph at home. His main concern was who would regularly perform the Naivedya offering. This worry was amplified because his father was a follower of the Prarthana Samaj, leading the son to believe his father would not be inclined towards idol worship. This puzzle was resolved when the son requested that his father promise to offer Naivedya to Sai daily before anyone in the house ate. The father readily agreed, giving his assurance and allowing the son to leave for Shirdi in peace.
