Describe the incident where Kashiram fought thieves. Why was he attacked, how did he survive, and what was the aftermath?

The incident began when thieves tried to steal a small bundle from Kashiram, mistakenly believing it contained treasure. In reality, it was just powdered sugar he carried to feed ants on a saint's advice. As detailed in Chapter 0, Kashiram refused to let go of the bundle, and a fight ensued. He managed to pick up a dropped sword and kill two thieves before a third struck him on the head with an axe, rendering him unconscious. The thieves left him for dead, but he later regained consciousness. His survival was attributed to Maharaj, who was simultaneously creating a scene in Shirdi to protect him. Afterwards, Kashiram was treated in Shirdi under Maharaj's care and was gifted a sword by the Bombay government for his bravery.
