Describe the incident at the Kala Rama temple in Nashik involving Haribhau Karnik and explain its significance.

📖 Chapter 33

After his Guru Purnima pilgrimage to Shirdi in 1917, a devotee named Haribhau Karnik traveled to Nashik. As recounted in Chapter 33, a remarkable event took place when he went for Darshan at the temple of Kala Rama. There, the saint Narsing Maharaj, who was with his own followers, suddenly rose, walked over to Karnik, held him by the wrist, and demanded, "Give my Rupee." Karnik was left amazed by this, as he had earlier had a passing thought in Shirdi to give Sai Baba one more Rupee but had ultimately decided against it. The significance of this incident is that it felt to Karnik as if Sai Baba himself was reaching out across the distance to accept the offering his heart had intended to make, demonstrating Baba's omniscience and his response to a devotee's sincere inner resolve.
