Dev provided the Sanyasi and his companions with a very thorough and respectful meal. According to Chapter 40, all three guests were 'thoroughly satisfied' with the food. After the meal, Dev ensured all proper rituals were completed, including Uttaraposhan (final sipping of water) and Shuddhachaman (rinsing the mouth). He also offered them fragrant cool water and Mukhashuddhi (mouth fresheners). Furthermore, Dev showed them great honor by providing sandalwood paste, flowers, betel leaves, perfume, and rosewater, all offered with 'great respect and joy.'
