After the Sanyasi and his two companions were thoroughly satisfied by their meal, Dev demonstrated immense hospitality by performing several traditional rituals. As described in Chapter 40, the host completed the rituals of Uttaraposhan, which is the final sipping of water, and Shuddhachaman for rinsing the mouth. He also provided fragrant cool water for drinking. To conclude the courteous reception, Dev offered Mukhashuddhi, or mouth fresheners, and gave everyone sandalwood paste, flowers, betel leaves, perfume, and rosewater with great respect and joy, fulfilling all the duties of a gracious host.
Describe the hospitality and specific rituals Dev performed after feeding the Sanyasi and his companions.
