The interaction between Jog and Balasaheb Deo occurred after Deo had reached a critical point in his spiritual struggle. As Chapter 41 recounts, Deo had tried for a long time to read the Dnyaneshwari daily but was consistently unsuccessful. He even took a three-month leave and went to Shirdi and his home in Ponda, but the goal remained unfulfilled. Feeling distressed, he made a firm resolve to only read the text upon receiving a direct command from Sai Baba. Sometime after making this internal vow, Deo traveled to Shirdi again, this time on an auspicious occasion with his mother and sisters, to witness the Guru's worship. It was during this visit to Shirdi that Jog approached him and directly asked, "Why aren't you reading Dnyaneshwari daily these days?"
Describe the events that led to Jog questioning Balasaheb Deo about his Dnyaneshwari reading practice.
