Describe the different ways people were cured of scorpion stings in the stories from Chapter 33, including Bapusaheb Jog and the Jyotishi Buwa.

📖 Chapter 33

Chapter 33 presents a few different accounts of healing from scorpion stings, each highlighting a different facet of Sai's power. First, we have Narayanrao's friend, who was cured when Narayanrao applied ash from incense sticks, believing it to be Udi. The cure was manifested through faith. In a footnote, the story of Bapusaheb Jog is told. When he was stung, he went to Baba, who simply said, "It will be alright, go!" and the pain vanished before he even left the compound, a cure by Baba's word alone. Lastly, a Jyotishi Buwa who was stung in Rahata applied the actual Udi given by Maharaj and continuously chanted his name. This combination of Udi and Nama Smarana stopped his pain and solidified his faith. These stories show that healing could come from faith-imbued substitutes, Baba's direct command, or the prescribed Udi coupled with devotion.
