The Khaparde family demonstrated profound devotion during their time in Shirdi. Dadasaheb Khaparde, a prominent and educated man, stayed for four months, while his family stayed for seven. Their love for Sai Baba was immense. As Chapter 27 explains, Dadasaheb himself would maintain a vow of silence before Baba, a sign of his deep humility. His wife was equally faithful; she would personally bring the daily food offering (naivedya) to the Masjid and would fast until Baba had accepted and eaten the food.
