Sai Baba established a daily practice of reading sacred scriptures in Shirdi for the spiritual welfare of his followers. As detailed in Chapter 18, this important assignment was given to Sakharam Hari Jog, also known as Bapusaheb Jog. The readings were held in Sathe's Wada. Each day, after his afternoon meal, Jog would first go to Baba at the Masjid to bow, take Udi, and receive permission to begin the Parayana, or devotional reading. He would then read from texts like the Jnaneshwari or Nath Bhagawat, often providing explanations of the meaning to the listeners whom Baba would frequently send from the Masjid to the Wada.
Describe the daily reading rituals that Sai Baba encouraged in Shirdi, including who was in charge and where they took place.
