Describe the contradictory elements present in the mosque where Sai Baba lived.

📖 Chapter 7

The mosque where Sai Baba resided was a unique blend of Hindu and Muslim practices, making it a symbol of his transcendent nature. According to Chapter 7, while it was a Muslim place of worship, Baba maintained a constantly burning sacred fire, or Dhuni, which is a Hindu custom. The text highlights several other Hindu activities that took place there, which would be unusual for a traditional mosque. These included the grinding of grain, the ringing of bells, the blowing of conches, the offering of food to the fire, the singing of constant Bhajan (devotional songs), and the ritual washing of feet in worship. These practices demonstrated his disregard for rigid religious boundaries.
