Describe the character of Kashiram, highlighting his devotion, his flaws, and his bravery as depicted in the text.

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 0

Kashiram was a total devotee of Sai Baba, serving him with his body, mind, and wealth. Chapter 0 portrays his immense devotion through his acts of service, such as providing clothes, tobacco, firewood, and money. However, he also had a spiritual flaw: pride in his ability to give, which Maharaj helped him overcome through a difficult lesson involving Dakshina. Kashiram's character was also marked by incredible bravery and faith. During a robbery, he fought fiercely to protect a bundle of sugar meant for ants, and after being severely injured, his absolute faith in Maharaj led him to refuse hospital care, insisting instead on being taken to Shirdi to be healed by his Guru's grace.
