Maharaj's sleeping arrangement was highly unusual and considered miraculous by his followers. Instead of sleeping on the ground or on the plank provided by Nanasaheb Dengle, he hung the plank from the Masjid's rafters using old, weak rags. As detailed in chapter 0, these rags miraculously supported his weight. While sleeping on this suspended plank, he would place four lit lamps at the corners. This sight drew crowds because, besides the miracle of the rags, no one ever saw Maharaj climbing up to or down from the plank, despite many people keeping watch to observe him.
Describe Sai Baba's sleeping arrangement in the Masjid and why it drew so much attention.
