๐Ÿ“– Chapter 0

Sai Baba, then known as Maharaj, traveled to Shirdi with a wedding procession for the nephew of Chandbhai's wife. According to the account in Chapter 0, the procession halted in a garden near the Khandoba temple. It was at this temple that Maharaj met Mhalasapati, the man who would give him his famous name. Mhalasapati then introduced Maharaj to his companions, Kashiram Shimpi and Appa Jagle. These three men had a practice of serving holy figures who came to Shirdi, and they all became devoted followers of Maharaj, marking the beginning of his time in the village.
