From his vantage point in the Chavadi, Amir Shakkar had a unique view of Sai Baba's movements, as described in Chapter 22. He could easily see Baba daily without leaving his spot, as Baba's path for morning alms went right by the Chavadi. Every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi, moving his finger and head to salute all directions, before returning to the Masjid. The greatest access came on alternate days when Baba would stay in the Chavadi. After the Aarti and departure of other devotees, a nominal curtain was all that separated them, allowing for private conversations.
Describe Sai Baba's daily and alternate-day routines as they were observed by Amir Shakkar from his assigned spot in the Chavadi.
