Describe Ratanji's first encounter with Sai Baba in Shirdi.

Following Das Ganu's advice, Ratanji arrived in Shirdi and went to the Masjid for Sai Baba's darshan. As Chapter 14 recounts, upon seeing the 'heap of merit' that was Maharaj, Ratanji felt love surge within him. He performed several acts of devotion, prostrating at Sai's feet, placing a flower garland around Baba's neck with love, and offering a weight of fruits. He then sat near Baba with great humility and respect. In his prayer, he expressed his faith that Baba protects those in great calamity. In response to this heartfelt plea, Baba initiated their interaction by asking Ratanji a simple but profound question: 'what Dakshina (offering) will you give Me?'
