Describe Maharaj's early life in Shirdi, focusing on his residence and selfless service to the sick.

📖 Chapter 0

During his early days in Shirdi, Maharaj resided mostly in a Masjid that was in a dilapidated state. As described in Chapter 0, his life was one of great simplicity and service. During the day, he would wander, and if someone invited him for a meal, he would go. He demonstrated immense compassion by giving out medicines to people without ever taking money. More than just providing remedies, if he saw a patient who was not being cared for properly, he would personally take on the task of nursing them himself. This selfless service in his humble, dilapidated dwelling characterized his early presence in the village.
