When Laxmichand finally entered the masjid and saw Sai Baba, he was completely overwhelmed with spiritual emotion. The account in Chapter 28 describes how seeing Baba's form from a distance filled his mind with emotion. Upon having the darshan of his 'desired form,' he became fully absorbed, forgetting all about hunger and thirst and attaining 'the joy of his own self.' After washing Baba's feet and offering worship, he sat near Baba's feet, feeling like a bee absorbed in a lotus, basking in the joy of his Guru's grace.
