According to Chapter 5, Chand Patil, while grieving his lost mare, encountered a remarkable sight under a mango tree. He saw a 'gem' of a person, a Fakir, wearing a cap on his head and a kafni on his body, with a short stick, or 'satka,' tucked under his arm. This Fakir was busy preparing a chillum. He called out to Patil, inviting him to rest in the shade. When he inquired about the saddle Patil was carrying, Patil explained his horse was lost. The Fakir then simply told him to search near the streams, stating the horse would be found immediately. Astonished, Patil followed the instruction and, upon finding his mare, returned in awe, realizing he had met a true saint.
