Describe how Shri Sai Baba helped sick people when he first arrived in Shirdi and how his methods changed over time.

When Maharaj first came to Shirdi, he actively helped the local people by providing medical care. As detailed in Chapter 0, he would tell people which medicines to take and give them out freely, never accepting money for his services. If a patient was not being cared for properly, he would even go and tend to them himself. Over time, however, his approach evolved. He later stopped giving out traditional medicine and instead began to give only Udi, or sacred ash, which people found to be beneficial. He personally mentioned this transition to the author, stating that he used to give medicine to people but later stopped.
