Gopalrao Gund was a devotee who, blessed with a son by Sai Baba, sought to honor him. As detailed in Chapter 0, he first decided to rebuild the dilapidated Masjid and collected many stones for this purpose. However, Maharaj did not grant permission for this project. Instead, with Maharaj's command, the stones Gund had gathered were repurposed to build the Shani temple and renovate other temples in the village.
