Gopalrao Gund was a devotee who, blessed with a son by Sai Baba, sought to honor him. As detailed in Chapter 0, he first decided to rebuild the dilapidated Masjid and collected many stones for this purpose. However, Maharaj did not grant permission for this project. Instead, with Maharaj's command, the stones Gund had gathered were repurposed to build the Shani temple and renovate other temples in the village. Later, Gund proposed holding an annual fair, or Urs, in Maharaj's honor. While this idea was liked by other devotees, it faced opposition from the Kulkarni, who managed to get a collector's order to stop it, though an order to proceed was eventually secured.
Describe Gopalrao Gund's devotional efforts for Sai Baba and the outcomes of his projects.
