Describe Damu Anna's specific role and contribution to the Ram Navami festival in Shirdi.

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 25

Damu Anna played a consistent and vital role in the annual Ram Navami festival in Shirdi. According to Chapter 25, he had taken a vow to provide one of the two large new flags for the festival's procession each year. The other flag was provided by the Nimonkars. This was a long-standing tradition he upheld for many years with "uninterrupted love and devotion." The procession would commence from the house of Kondaji Sutara, the carpenter, and proceed with musical accompaniment. The flags were then taken through the village and ultimately tied to the two ends of the Masjid, with Damu Anna's flag being a central part of this sacred celebration.
