Bapusaheb Jog had a disciplined daily routine centered around the reading assignment given to him by Sai Baba. According to Chapter 18, every day after his afternoon meal, Jog would first go to the Masjid to meet Baba. There, he would bow at Baba's feet, take Udi, and formally ask for permission to begin the reading. Once permission was granted, he would proceed to Sathe's Wada. He would then joyfully start the Parayana, or devotional reading, of either the Jnaneshwari or the Nath Bhagawat, and provide explanations of the meaning for the devotees who had gathered to listen.
