Chapter 28 narrates the wonderful story of a devout lady from Berhampur. Though she had never met Sai Baba, he appeared in her dream and asked for khichdi. Later, when her husband was transferred to Akola, the couple decided to visit Shirdi. They stayed for two months, and the lady was eager to fulfill her vow of offering khichdi. As described in Chapter 28, after fourteen days of waiting, she resolutely went to the masjid at noon. Finding Baba already eating behind a curtain, she pushed it aside and entered. Baba reacted with immense delight, taking the plate of khichdi and eating it eagerly, thus fulfilling her heartfelt desire and demonstrating his unique connection with his devotees.
